MadCap's Reel Thoughts - "Star Trek: Generations" (1994)

Okay, I'm going to level with you all, I am really not looking forward to dealing with the Next Generation movies.

They're all honestly range in quality from "ok" to "very bad". There's only one that's good.

It isn't this one.

MadCap's Fiction Corner - Seattle By Night: "If It Wasn't For Bad Luck..." (Part 6)

"I'm surprised that you were able to find me."

"With respect, Primogen Gray, we really don't have time for the pleasantries." The Nosferatu who was hunched over at the head of the small group he'd found himself a part of said. "We need to find Benjamin and quickly."

"And why would I know where Benjamin is?" Nathaniel Gray asked with a raised brow. The man sat in the small library he had within the lodge. A commonhouse of sorts for Clan Gangrel. The two members of Clan Gangrel who flanked him on either side had clearly given themselves to some Frenzy and looked less than pleased with the non-Clan members hanging around. They did not attack, however... for now.

MadCap's Reel Thoughts - "The Eternals" (2021)

So... most of you who know me will know that I can be very opinionated about a lot of things. I am a person who either really, really likes something or I utterly despise it. There is rarely, if ever, any middle ground.

So, this is going to surprise many of you... as it surprised me when I got about halfway through it.

I do not have strong feelings about The Eternals one way or another.

MadCap's Fiction Corner - "The Champions of Zobek" (Chapter 9)

"You are... out of your mind."

"Pretty sure I have to be at this point, yes."

"Nobody sees the Grand Champion unless they're fighting him." Ziv told him. "And you don't fight him."

"Why not?" Calen asked, arms crossed over his chest. He hadn't sat down since being returned to the cell, although it had already been several hours. Soon enough, it would be lights out. Calen also pointedly tried to ignore the redhead in the cell across from them, who very clearly was now observing him and attempting not to be discovered as she did so.

"Because he doesn't lose." Ziv said. "Anyone who has gone up against him has died."

"Well, I'm not stupid enough to try and fight a Jedi Knight."

MadCap's Table Top Tales - Moon Knight Build (5e)

Well, it's been a while since we were off to the races with a 5e build, so let's do us another one! After watching Moon Knight, I struck inspiration... so, obviously, this is gonna be a Darkhawk build!

... just kidding.

Seriously, do any of you know who Darkhawk is?

MadCap's Reel Thoughts - "Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country" (1991)

Well, we are finally here. The last of the films for the crew of TOS. It isn't the last of the appearances of all of the members of the original cast (that will come much, much later), but this is the final word on the very first original series of Star Trek. From 1966 all the way now to 1991 (at the time of release), it was the 25th anniversary of the franchise and Paramount was determined for it to go out with a bang for the original cast's final ride.

Particularly after their last ride, in which Kirk, Spock, and Bones went on a camping trip to Yosemite and nothing of note happened beyond a sterling rendition of "Row, Row, Row Your Boat".

God, I love in-built continuity erasers so much.

MadCap At The Movies - "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" (2022)

Alright, folks! We're back to the movies! Grab your Rasinets, slurp your ICEE, and get ready for some spoilers.

Because there will be spoilers.

From this point onward, spoilers.

I'm serious. If you haven't seen the movie, turn back now.

Also if you haven't seen No Way Home, turn back now, because I'm about to drop a massive spoiler for that as well.

Oh, and WandaVision as well.

Seriously, a lot of spoilerage here.

MadCap's Fiction Corner - Fallout: "Manifest Destiny" (Chapter 6)

"This is a bomb control device." Formerly Scribe Haylen said. "The Brotherhood picked up some of these in the DC area, cataloged from the Citadel when they moved in."

"Aren't bomb collars generally those heavy, clunky things?" Piper asked.

"Experimental tech. Pre-War." Haylen explained. "This one seems a little more advanced than those. I think whoever you got this from has been tinkering."

"We're still doing interrogations." Andrew said. "A few of them have spoken of something called 'the Enclave'."

"The what?!" Haylen's eyes went wide as she looked to the General.

MadCap's Reel Thoughts - "Star Trek V: The Final Frontier" (1989)

"Each man hides a secret pain. It must be exposed and reckoned with. It must be dragged from the darkness and forced into the light. Share your pain. Share your pain with me..."

Alright, well, since you asked nicely...
